The comic is finished, the series outline is done, a bunch more scripts are in various stages of completion.
I always loved the 1980's. I loved waking up on Saturday mornings and watching cartoons. I love the A Team and Knight Rider and even Manamal (even though that was a bit crap). I love comic books and cartoon ultra violence and explosions and Indiana Jones and Magnum P.I. and Ulysses 2031 and anything with loads of laser fights in it. IDK, maybe you do too...
Nothing seems to tick those boxes like it used to. While at the same time telling me a story I want to hear.
I wanna see all that shit supercharged, pumped full of Viagra, dialed to 11 and raging. And NOBODY was making it, so I did it myself... with the help of some incredibly talented artists.
It would be difficult to hype this guy too much. If you look him up online you'll mostly see "Emilio Laiso is a comic book artist who lives in Italy" but that's only because he doesn't have any time to write a bio, he's too busy drawing your Street Fighter, Star Wars or Spider Man comics for Marvel, Image, IDW, Boom Studios etc... You're welcome.
Industry veteran, mentor, wise man.
Andrea has been working way to long to cover even a tiny selection of the awesome stuff he has penciled... OK here's a few then: Spiderman, Avengers, Black Panther, Captain America. His most recent works include Thor and fulfilling a lifelong dream... Conan the Barbarian.
Proud to be from the city where pizza was born (it's not in China, guess again). Talented upstart and artist on Lumberjax for Short Fuse Media, and Tungsten Girth.
Laura has been an artist her whole life. When
she not painting you can find her singing blues in a bar. Her work includes Thor, Avengers, X-Men, The Thing, Black Panther, Wolverine, man I won't bore you with the details, she's a bonafide
legend.
Lucas Gattoni is a seasoned graphic designer and typesetter now pursuing his dream job of lettering comic books. He has lettered GLAAD nominated Liebestrasse for ComiXology Originals, Twin Worlds for Action Lab, Eskimo Kisses for Scout Comics and is currently lettering the Spanish version of Sonic The Hedgehog for IDW. He lives in his home country of Argentina with his husband and their three unnamed goldfish (oops, make that two now).
I co-created tokyoplastic and for the last 16 years I've been directing TV commercials for many of the worlds largest agencies and clients (Saatchi & Saatchi, BBDO , McCann, TBWA, Nike, Microsoft, Toyota blah blah blah). I made a micro series about a dreaming cat: Kitteh Kitteh and directed a ton of other stuff you've never heard of.
I get it, you're skint AF. That's OK, we're not asking for your money. There are a ton of ways we want you to be involved. Just by sharing this with your mates you have already contributed.
I'm never gonna get rich making this. If I wanted money I'd go into banking, sell crack or become a rent boy. I just wanna read a killer story / see a killer anime that is as unapologetic as this is, with hard charging metal, lasers, violence, chicks with big cans, all the good stuff.
If you have read this far then you do too. God bless you, you awesome shiny star.
